Muriel Hanot heeft geschiedenis en sociale communicatie gestudeerd en haar dissertatie in communicatie studies gedaan. Zij is docent aan het Département de communication van de Université Catholique de Louvain-La-Neuve (UCL) en lid van het ‘Observatoire du récit médiatique’. Zij heeft onder andere speciale nummers van de tijdschriften Recherches en communication (°14) en Médiatiques (°7 en °33) geredigeerd, die de Belgische televisiegeschiedenis behandelen. Zij is auteur van het boek Télévision: réalité ou réalisme? Introduction à l’analyse sémio-pragmatique des discours télévisuels (INA/De Boeck Université, 2002).
Abstract
In 2003 Belgian public broadcasting celebrated its fiftieth anniversary. On this occasion the Royal Museum of Mariemont decided to exhibit its special collections following the organisation of an antique memory's theatre bringing the museum's collections in a new face-to-face dialogue with images from the 50 years history of the RTBF. In this quite unusual and innovative approach the commemoration of 50 years of Walloon television was staged as a creative exhibition inviting visitors to discover a fascinating history.
